Repairs
In our well-equipped workshop we have the facilities to repair your faulty electric motors. When a motor is booked in it is given a unique repair ID number and the data and condition are recorded.
Further records are made when the motor is dismantled and stripped and the faulty winding details are checked. It is important that these windings are carefully removed from the core pack to ensure that no core lamination damage occurs.
High quality materials are used when reinstating the windings and when finished they are sealed by trickle impregnation of resin into the coils. This is a very fast and efficient way of sealing the new finished windings.
Finished windings are checked on our SKF/Baker AWA-IV static motor analyser and we can provide a hard copy test sheet of the winding resistances of the test if required. The finished, fully assembled motor, is powered up to name plate voltage and given a no load test run before being despatched back to our customer.

Dynamic Balancing
At Stewart Rewinds Ltd we have our own, in-house facility, to enable us to dynamically balance rotating components. Unbalanced motor fitments or parts will cause premature failure of bearings which may then lead to subsequent further mechanical wear/damage and eventually electrical failure. This part of the service can give peace of mind that reinstalled equipment will run smoothly. Items which we have dynamically balanced, are returned with a printed balance certificate.
